Henry Ford Learning Institute (HFLI), an experienced education nonprofit, developed the Ford Law Career Academy educational model.
Ford Law is informed by extensive research, visits to and resources from similarly focused career academies in major cities, with critical input from progressive educators and a diverse team of experienced attorneys, and feedback from the pilot. It is implemented as a 3 or 4-year high school program.
HFLI’s expertise in K-12 education and legacy of Deeper Learning by Doing(R) (culturally responsive and restorative principles + human-centered design + high-leverage education practices) is reflected throughout the approach and framework to create a powerful experience for high school students.
Ford Law gives real world, authentic experiences for students. I think that they learn how to collaborate and build important skills that they will need for college in the future.
